Base Dimension

Our Yorkshire handmade bed sprung true edge bases are 33cm in depth plus 5cm for Shepherd Castors making the base an overall height of 38cm in total. 

Draws

Standard draw dimensions are 81cm wide, 50.5cm deep and 17.5cm high.

Continental draws are 44cm wide, 50.5cm deep and 17.5cm high.

Construction of the Base 

Our handcrafted sprung edge divans are upholstered with precision, serve as the ideal foundation for any Yorkshire handmade bed mattress. Our solid timber frames are hand crafted with premium wood glue, heavy duty pin heads and screws. The sustainable timber sourced from responsibly managed FSC-certified forests and other carefully monitored origins.  Skilfully integrating vanadium in house made pocket springs within a robust timber frame, we establish a responsive layer that harmonises seamlessly with the mattress above, ensuring impeccable support for a supremely comfortable sleep experience. Each sprung edge divan is finished with the finest natural materials, such as cotton, and offers customisation options with a variety of fabric choices and storage option.
